Undo, Redo and Keyboard Shortcuts
Mistakes are normal. Ctrl+Z undoes the last action and Ctrl+Y redoes it (Cmd+Z and Cmd+Shift+Z on a Mac). You can undo many steps in a row.
Shortcuts save a lot of time. The most useful:
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V | Copy, cut, paste |
| Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Y | Undo, redo |
| Ctrl+D, Ctrl+R | Fill down, fill right |
| Ctrl+Arrow | Jump to the edge of the data |
| Ctrl+Shift+Arrow | Select to the edge of the data |
| F2 | Edit the selected cell |
| F4 | Toggle $ (absolute reference) while editing a formula |
| Ctrl+; | Insert today's date |
| Alt+= | Insert a SUM |
| Ctrl+S | Save |
F4 is worth remembering: it cycles B2, $B$2, B$2, $B2.

Quick check
Which keys undo the last action?
Your turn: write the code
Fill the tax down B3:B5 so every row uses the rate in B1. Anchor it with dollar signs: =A3*$B$1.
Finish the quick check (and any code exercise) to complete this lesson, or mark it done yourself.
Tip: use the left and right arrow keys to move between lessons.
