PivotTable Values: Sum, Count, Average

A PivotTable can summarise the same number in different ways: Sum (the default for numbers), Count (how many rows), Average, Max, Min. In the field settings choose Summarize Values By.

Each choice matches a function: SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, AVERAGEIFS, MAXIFS, MINIFS. The same group can be shown several ways side by side, which often tells a fuller story than the sum alone.
