Formulas and Operators

Formulas use the usual operators: + add, - subtract, * multiply, / divide, ^ power and % percent. Use cell addresses instead of typing numbers, so the result updates when a cell changes. Excel follows the normal order: brackets first, then powers, then multiply and divide, then add and subtract. & joins text.

In this course each line of an example is one cell: the address, a colon, then what is in the cell. A line starting with = is a formula. Press Run to see the sheet with every formula worked out.
