AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the broad aim of making computers do tasks that normally need human judgement, such as recognising speech or translating a sentence. Machine learning (ML) is one way to get there: instead of writing rules, you let the computer learn them from examples. Deep learning is a kind of machine learning that uses large neural networks. Today's chat assistants are deep learning models.
The difference shows up in code. A rule-based program follows rules a person wrote. A learned program finds its rules in data.
What is the main difference between a rule-based program and a machine learning one?
