Rounding and Percentages
ROUND(number, digits) rounds to that many decimal places (0 for a whole number, a negative number to tens or hundreds). ROUNDUP always rounds away from zero and ROUNDDOWN towards zero. INT drops everything after the decimal point (rounding down). MOD(a, b) is the remainder after dividing.
A percentage is just a number: 15% is 0.15. Typing =B2*15% or =B2*0.15 gives the same result.
In this course each line of an example is one cell: the address, a colon, then what is in the cell. A line starting with = is a formula. Press Run to see the sheet with every formula worked out.
What does `=ROUND(2.5,0)` give?
Round the price in A1 to one decimal place in B1.
