IFS and IFERROR

Nesting many IFs gets messy. IFS(test1, result1, test2, result2, ...) checks tests in order and returns the first match. Use TRUE as the last test for a catch-all.

IFERROR(formula, fallback) shows a friendly value when a formula fails, such as dividing by zero (#DIV/0!).

In this course each line of an example is one cell: the address, a colon, then what is in the cell. A line starting with = is a formula. Press Run to see the sheet with every formula worked out.

Your turn: write the code

Fill C2:C4 with the profit margin (B divided by A) but show 0 when the revenue in A is 0.

Finish the quick check (and any code exercise) to complete this lesson, or mark it done yourself.
