Unique Values and Removing Duplicates
Real data often repeats values. UNIQUE(range) lists each distinct value once, which is the quick way to see all the categories in a column. In Excel, Data > Remove Duplicates deletes repeated rows from the sheet itself; take a copy first because it cannot be undone after saving.
To find duplicates without deleting, count them: COUNTIF(range, cell) greater than 1 means the value appears more than once.

Quick check
Which function lists each value of a column once?
Your turn: write the code
Count how many different names are in A2:A6 by using COUNTA on the UNIQUE list in C2 down. Put the count in B1.
